Fifty Minutes Can
Start a Journey.
A young skater begins with fifty minutes a week on the ice. As that skater grows, so do the hours, training and costs. Your support helps keep that growth from falling entirely on families.
Time on the ice
Ice time, specialty coaching and team training help all ten teams make progress.

Support for travel, competition wear and equipment helps hold down the cost of participating.

Strength training and injury prevention help junior and senior athletes prepare for the demands of the sport.
See the training behind your gift
In Shooting Stars Academy, skaters begin with fifty minutes on the ice and an hour off it each week, with no competitive travel. At junior level, the Lexettes train nine to ten hours a week on the ice; at senior level, the Haydenettes train twelve to fourteen, with fifteen to twenty hours of training in total.
Hayden Synchro funds the strength-training and injury-prevention program for the Lexettes and Haydenettes at the Micheli Center at The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood. Clinical care and injury recovery are separate costs that fall on the athlete; Hayden Synchro provides access to sports-injury specialists.
Many junior and senior skaters balance training with college, work and their own tuition. In a sport that moves as one, supporting every teammate strengthens the whole team.
