General info about the 2023 Training

We are excited to open the registration for the Haydenettes Elite Training program on February 15, 2023. Our Elite Training 2023 is designed as a day training for skaters that are at least 15 years (or older) and ideally train at the Junior level or higher. Training will include in-person sessions at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, MA, Friday June 23rd and Saturday June 24th.  During the 13 hours of on-ice time, focus will be placed mainly on individual skills and technique with some connected skating as well. Our on ice coaching staff includes, former Olympian Suzy Semanick-Schurman, and Melissa Williams (USFS & PSA Coach, Saratoga Springs FSC, Figures Gold Medalist), as well as Haydenettes Head Coach, Saga Krantz, and Lexettes Head Coach, Lee Chandler and Haydenettes skaters. This year we will also offer an off ice session with Olympic Dance/Movement Choreographer Randi Strong who is best known for being a Top 5 Female Dancer on Season 5 of the FOX Hit TV Show “So You Think You Can Dance”. Training will be a day format with check in and out times each day with no overnight experience.

Elite Training Requirements to Enroll:

Test Level: Skaters need to have passed Senior level Moves-In-The-Field before the beginning of the training.

Age: Skaters must be 15 years or older by 6/23/2023

Enrollment: Limited to 30 skaters

IN-PERSON sessions at New England Sports Center, Marlborough, MA will be on Friday, June 23, 2023 and Saturday, June 24, 2023 Exact times and schedules will be announced after registration.

Lunch and light snacks will be provided on Friday and Saturday. 

Registration will close on May 15th or sooner if enrollment is met. Payment must be made via credit card at the time of registration. No checks will be accepted.

*Cancellation Policy: Registration fee is non-refundable. The only exception to the cancellation policy is if state of Massachusetts guidelines change and prohibit the training from being held. If we are unable to hold training, refunds will be issued.

What’s Not Included:

  • Different from prior years, there will be no hotel stays
  • No breakfasts or dinners will be provided
  • No transportation of any kind will be provided, including no buses to/from a hotel to the rink

Q: I’d like to make a hotel reservation, do you have hotel recommendations?

A: Overnight hotel accommodations are not included in training this year. If you’d like to make a reservation, we suggest:

Q: Is there a skills and/or age requirement to be eligible to attend training this year?

A: Yes, All skaters must have passed their Senior level Moves-in-the-Field and be 15 years or older. Skaters that are under the age of 15 will be put into a waiting list.

Q: Do I still need to send copies of my skater’s test levels? 

A: Yes. Please send your skater’s test records to show that the highest level of tests passed for the Moves-In-The-Field.

Q: What will the on ice program look like?

A: Each one of the 6 on-ice sessions (13h total) will focus on improving different areas in skating technique. Classes include power and speed, turns and edges, figures, musical interpretation and Synchro Element session(s).  Coach staff includes experienced World/Olympic level coaches.
